A beautiful vintage Art Deco Venetian African trade beads necklace, made up of Venetian Chevron Beads with an Antique Ethiopian Coptic Cross. The chevron beads have 5 layers of red white and blue, they are all hand-made and differ slightly in shape and size.

There are strung with sparkling cranberry red faceted spacer beads and a wonderful old antique coin silver Ethiopian Coptic cross. The red, white & blue colour combination is very striking. The necklace wasn't hanging very nicely on its original cat gut thread, so it has just been professionally re-threaded.... And it's now raring to go!

It fastens with a stick through loop fastener, although it's long enough to go over the head on most people, without undoing this. The beads are in wonderful condition, with no damage that I can find. Measures approximately: 25.25 or 64cm The chevron beads measure approximately: 7-8mm. Coptic cross measures: 54mm x 40mm A Really Eye Catching Piece!
