Old Pawn Turquoise Sterling Silver Bear Navajo Charm Bracelet-Gifts of the Mesa
This beautiful 7.5 bracelet has the sky blue turquoise of Arizona and a variety of sterling silver turquoise charms, slices, and nuggets adding color depth and design interest. The vintage charms are mostly Navajo, hallmarked and most signed and all beautifully set in sterling settings.
Its a bold, full bracelet, hard to overlook when worn, easy to notice. The heart focal charm is a vintage sterling silver Kokopelli, very well made. This charm is flanked on both sides by a two sterling silver bears with dangling feathers and then a sterling Zuni bear inlaid with a dangling feather. Next, are an old/vintage Navajo turquoise charm with elegant sterling settings and a sterling turquoise cross. There are also buffalo nickels encased in sterling and turquoise slices, hearts and nuggets dangles that add interest to both front and the back of this 7 1/2 bracelet. The band is finished with a silver lobster clasp and a 2 extender. Some Native American believed that it was possible to draw power from a bear by dreaming of one, by killing and eating part of one or by even touching a bear. These actions made a warrior invincible. Because of the Native Americans' beliefs that the bear had spiritual power, wearing bear jewelry meant protection and good health to the person wearing it.
