Beautiful Antique Vintage Art Deco THOMAS L MOTT Sterling Silver Iridescent Butterfly Wing Brooch Pin Signed TLM. The Brooch Will Come in a Little Box, Hand Tied with Ribbon and Would Make a GORGEOUS GIFT! A stunning antique Art Deco Thomas L Mott, iridescent blue morpho butterfly wing brooch. The brooch has a lovely hand-painted tropical scene, reverse painted onto the glass, with an attractive pie crust edge. I love this butterfly wing jewellery - it looks so beautiful and iridescent whenever it catches the light. The brooch fastens with a simple catch and is s. Tamped on the reverse'TLM Sterling, England' for Thomas L Mott. I have given it a light polish and it has come up beautifully, yet retaining some of the old patina. Butterfly wing jewellery is particularly susceptible to damp damage, but this fabulous piece has no such problems. The brooch is in Wonderful Condition, with no damage. Butterfly wing jewellery was produced by both Mott and Shipton's and was first patented in 1923. It was then exhibited at the British Empire Exhibition the following year, in 1924, and became incredibly popular as a result. Perfect for Any Special Occasion.
